Getting started

At the initial consultation, I will explore your current issues, and what brought you to counselling, enquire about your background history establish your focus of therapy and discuss the counselling contract. The initial session will last for 50 minutes.  Listen to what you would like to achieve and agree on a plan for how to proceed including when you prefer your session times, frequency and duration. I recommend starting with weekly sessions, after 3/4 sessions if you are finding the sessions helpful, we will continue.

Therapy sessions last 50 minutes and are normally held on a weekly basis, sometimes every other week. Your regular attendance is important for your therapy to progress.
